Empowering entrepreneurship through e-learning and innovation
Did you know that thousands of enterprises are created every year in Central America, but the majority do not survive more than three years? Additionally, in El Salvador, 85% of MSMEs are created without a strategic plan. Sixty percent of MSMEs are led by women who face social inequality, economic difficulties, lack of opportunities to access capital, and lack of training related to their needs.
Considering this scenario, Banco Promerica has developed a solution for El Salvador through Dominio Estudio that empowers female entrepreneurs in the country and the region to strengthen their enterprises (emerging companies or start up's), expand their markets and achieve a stable income.
The solution developed by Dominio Estudio is based on the findings and identification of the learning needs of women entrepreneurs about financial education, innovation (applying design thinking), and entrepreneurship.
Once the needs were identified, an ecosystem was conceived, designed, and conceptualized to facilitate the training of the entrepreneurs, connecting other entrepreneurs and professionals, creating a business and learning network, and to developing specific competencies such as business planning, leadership, financial management, user experience, and sales strategies.
This ecosystem is embodied in an e-learning platform, customized in the version of the Moodle LMS 4.0+, leveraging its open-source nature to develop the following features:
Business diagnosis and learning path: Presents a short questionnaire to determine the level of knowledge of the participants and suggests a learning path composed of e-learning courses.
Dashboard: Intuitive visualization and a radial graph representing the progress of courses and competencies.
Networking: Allows you to add contacts who share interests and courses to define a network of friends. It is possible to consult each user's profile data in a general way.
Financial simulators: The platform offers unique content, such as financial simulators with interactive forms.
This ecosystem, with its distinctive features, will enable progress towards the second phase of the project, focused on the regionalization of the platform. Additionally, there is a high potential for expansion into international markets, including North America.
Dominio Estudio is your business ally to boost Latin American entrepreneurship. Please let us know what you need and develop together impact digital ecosystems.
